In our classic series we release here Jacob Fairley aka Fairmont’s " Paper Stars" album. “Paper Stars” is Fairmont’s first album and it shows where a lot of his ideas originate from. We call this a pure classic.

"Paper Stars" is the kind of early 2000s electronic music made by humble guys in their bedrooms, teaming up with their PCs to pay tributes to poetry. It's slightly clicky, quite mechanical and repetitive, with a fragile and tiny/micro sound. This shy, simple, sometimes a bit clumsy but authentic mood is really a gem for me. I miss this lo-fi sounding electronica which ages so well.. If you like the "romantic" vibes à la Dial and Kompakt, "Paper Stars" is made for you. A soft, dreamy, discreet and charming creation.
